Mommy/Daughter Date With My MinnieMe! | www.thestitchinmommy.com #ad

As a work-at-home mom of two, I struggle to find the balance between work and spending time with my children. The time that I do get to spend with them is extremely special to me and I savor every moment. I especially love spending “mommy and me” time with my daughter. She is growing up so fast and I love to spend time with her doing the things that she likes to do. We enjoy doing a lot of the same things because after all, she is my “Minnie Me.” We share a love for Disney and all of Disney’s characters. We enjoy going to princess brunches, Disney shows, and even just watching Disney Junior on the television. I grew up with a love of all things Disney and am so glad that I can share that love with her.

With work and a small baby, I haven’t been able to have enough one-on-one time with my daughter. I do try to carve out individual time for her whenever I am able to. With Kaylee in half-day preschool now and going to kindergarten in the Fall, our time together is growing shorter and shorter. We try to spend time together before she goes to school (when the baby is napping) and then some time when she gets home from school. With Mother’s Day fresh in my mind, I realized that this was the first Mother’s Day that Kaylee had to share her mom. This made me want to do something special for her.

Today, I decided to make our time extra special with the help of some Disney Junior Minnie Mouse items that I got from Walmart! Since we love to play and she loves to have little fashion shows, I purchased this adorable Disney Minnie Bowtastic Kitchen Playset for playtime and this sweet Minnie Bow-Tique Fancy Bows Dress with Headband for the fashion show. I also purchased this Minnie Mouse Toddler Girl 2-Fer Dress and Minnie Mouse Toddler Girl Tee and Skirt Outfit Set for my little fashionista.

Needless to say, Kaylee was ecstatic about all of the Minnie items. She squealed and jumped for joy when I opened the kitchen. She made sure to try on all of the clothes before she did anything else. She especially loved the Minnie Bow-Tique Fancy Bows Dress with Headband. Kaylee has an obsession with all things Disney and anything Minnie Mouse so I knew that she would be super excited.

We played with the Disney Minnie Bowtastic Kitchen Playset for quite a while, cooking and baking cupcakes.

Kaylee and I played for about thirty minutes before she decided that she wanted to have a fashion show. I sat where I was instructed to (along with a few friends of the stuffed animal nature), and she went into her closet to change. Kaylee strutted her stuff, showing off each outfit. It made me smile from ear to ear to see my little girl so happy and excited to show off her new clothes.

We had to cut our date short since Kaylee had to go to school but, as soon as she got home, she wanted to have some more mommy and me time. Who could say no to that? She even made me promise in the car that we would have some more fun later.

I was so happy to make our day extra special with the help of these awesome Disney Junior Minnie Mouse items! They made our mommy/daughter date fun and exciting. I know that I will always cherish the moments that Kaylee and I get to spend together. I am hoping to take Kaylee to Disney World next year and have a whole new Disney adventure! I think it will be a magical time for the both of us.

Do you and your kids share a love of Disney too? Will you be incorporating a Disney theme into your mommy/daughter dates? I would love to read about it! Leave a comment below and share one of your special mother/daughter moments!
