Do you want to build a snowman, because I definitely do! To get in the holiday spirit and prep for winter this year, that is exactly what I did! This snowman is tiny and an adorable decoration to add to any collection of winter decorations! Crochet Snowman Plush Pattern

Materials:

  • White Yarn (I used acrylic for all of the yarns)
  • Red Yarn
  • Grey and White Mixed Yarn
  • Orange Yarn
  • 9mm Solid Black Eyes
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors
  • Size G 4mm Crochet Hook

Abbreviations:

sc – Single Crochet
ss – Slip Stitch
ch – Chain
inc – 2 sc in one stitch
dec – Skip one stitch

Gauge:

5 stitches and 3 rows = 1″ x 1″

Finished Size:

3″ x 1.5″ x 1″

Instructions:

(Work in rounds unless specified to do otherwise)

Top of Earmuffs – (White/Grey mix, work in rows)

Row 1: ch 8 and tie off ends.  [8]

Ear Portion of Earmuffs – (Red, make 2)

Round 1: sc 4 into a magic ring.  [4]
Attach each to an end of the top of the earmuffs.

Nose – (Orange)

Round 1: sc 3 into a magic ring.  [3]

Head – (White)

Round 1: sc 4 into a magic ring.  [4]
Round 2: inc around.  [8]
Round 3: sc inc around.  [12]
Round 4: sc sc inc around.  [16]
Round 5 – 6: sc around.  [16]
Round 7: sc dec around.  [8]

Place the eyes, nose, and earmuffs onto the appropriate positions and then stuff the head.  Slip stitch closed.

Body – (White)

Round 1: sc 6 into a magic ring.  [6]
Round 2: inc around.  [12]
Round 3: sc sc inc around.  [16]
Round 4: sc sc sc inc around.  [20]
Round 5 – 7: sc around.  [20]
Round 8: sc dec around.  [10]

Cut two pieces of black yarn and tie each into a knot.  Place into the position where buttons would go on a snowman’s body (shown in pictures) and pull all the yarn through the body using the tapestry needle, leaving only the knot visible.  Stuff the body with fiberfill and slip stitch closed.  Place the head on top and stitch into place.

Scarf – (Red, work in rows)

Row 1: ch 30 and tie in ends.  [30]

Place around the neck of the snowman and use the needle to sew the scarf together at one point where both ends intersect (as shown in the photos).  The snowman is complete, enjoy!
