Carving Up Some Fun with Pumpkin Masters Pumpkin Carving Kits & Giveaway

When I think of Fall, the first two things that come to mind are Halloween and Pumpkins! I love going to the pumpkin patch and picking out the perfect pumpkin. This was the first year that we’ve taken Kaylee and she absolutely loved the pumpkin patch. She focused on the smaller pumpkins but I got my big pumpkin fit for carving a masterpiece.

In previous years, I’ve carved my pumpkins using a marker to draw the face and several knives to carve the pieces out. This year, I was given the opportunity to use a Pumpkin Masters Pumpkin Carving Kit

We’ve never used one of these kits before but there is always a first time for everything! It was pretty easy and the directions were fairly straightforward. First we picked our kit. We chose the original Pumpkin Carving Kit. We selected our design (an easy ghost) and followed the instructions on the back to create our perfect pumpkin. First, we carved a hole in the bottom and scooped out the seeds and guts using the scoop from the kit. Kaylee enjoyed sticking her hands in the pumpkin and pulling out all of the seeds and guts. She wasn’t really interested in the carving part but the hubby and I went to town on it. We taped on our ghost template and followed the directions to transfer the ghost template onto the pumpkin. Then we carved. I won’t lie, the carving was a little tedious. I tagged Kenny in when I was halfway through the carving. He happily took over but got a little too overzealous and ended up breaking our little ghost’s arm right off so I had to get creative with his stub. After we were done, we both took a step back and admired our work. Kaylee chose the Xtreme Strobe Multicolored Flashing LED light for our pumpkin (she was playing with them prior to us carving and decided to give that one up.) In the end, we created a cute carving and had a lot fun doing it together as a family.

Would you like the opportunity to try one of these kits? How about all of them? Well you can! Pumpkin Masters is generously giving away these 4 kits and 2 strobe lights to one of my lucky readers. The giveaway will only run until Friday so enter now and tell your friends! Good luck!
