I’m Back!

My poor blog has been neglected for a few weeks. I do apologize. After “Superstorm” Sandy, life has been a little bit hectic. I’m hoping that things will start to calm down after the holidays. With the cold winter months approaching, my Etsy shop had an influx of orders. Now that I’ve completed all but one order, I decided it was time to work on my own Christmas gifts and update my blog.

So since my last post, life has seemed to move forward at such a rapid pace. My first semester back at school is coming to a close. It’s bittersweet. I cannot wait for the break but I will miss the new friends that I have made. I’ve been studying hard and crocheting harder. I’ve also taken time to enjoy my beautiful baby girl. Kaylee is growing up so fast. I want to hold onto as much as I can but I know that she won’t be a baby forever. We’ve started a ritual with her where we read a story to her every night before bed. I noticed that she actually pays attention to the stories now and really engages in the pictures.

A few nights ago, daddy read her Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? Needless to say she loved the pictures and decided to “read” the book on her own.

I looked at Kaylee and realized at that moment that she is no longer a baby. Kaylee is starting to become a big girl.

So in addition to making hats for friends and family I also have a few requests for other things. On my list I have a knitted scarf, crochet shawl, baby sneakers and a baby blannket. Here are a few things that are inspiring me at the moment

I’ll put up some pictures of the finished products (if I actually finish!)
